Traveling during a semester abroad is an excellent way to get the most out of your study abroad experience.  Traveling provides you with the opportunity to test out some new language skills, develop problem solving skills, and gain independence, all while seeing some amazing places around the world!

The best part? It's totally affordable and completely doable from many study abroad locations!  Europe may seem like the obvious choice to do major amounts of traveling, but you can find adventures almost anywhere you choose to study abroad.  I've had friends who have studied in China, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Argentina, Costa Rica, Ghana, South Africa, and Mexico who have all come back with their own travel experiences in those parts of the world.  I personally traveled to many different cities in 8 different countries while I was studying abroad in France in 2011.  The opportunities are (almost) endless!
